Espresso

The word espresso means express or coffee pressed out. This card has that word as its title because of its colors, but also because I could only post it now. One hour before the card drawing. Whew!

Card 'recipe'
Paper: Espresso, dark beige and vanilla (Paper Studio)
Stamp: Happy Mother's Day (Hero Arts), Single Rose (Inkadikado)
Ink: Black (Stampabilities), Brown (Le Pen)
Tools: Cutting/ embossing machine (Sizzix Bigkick), Scrolls embossing folder (Darice), Punch Around the Page punches (Martha Stuart) and 3D glue dots.
Embellishments: Handmade rose sticker (Vanias Reed), brown pearls and ribbon, bronze pearl.

Thank you for checking out my projects. Make an 'espresso' card for a Mother who either likes coffee or is always in a hurry, or both. (I'm smiling).
Have a wonderfully blessed weekend.

Shapes, Colors and Movement

Making all these Mother's Day cards has brought me a lot of memories of the things my mom, my sister and I did together.  I remember my mom taking us to a department store that had their own cafe. Oh how my sister and I loved to eat lunch there! With those childhood memories came smells, shapes, movements and colors. So I made a card that 'shows' some of those things. Here it is.

Card 'Recipe'
Paper: White, pink and green cardstock paper
Stamp: Happy Mother's Day
Ink: Ebony
Tools: cutting/embossing machine, swirl embossing folder, decorated oval die
Embellishment: beige ribbon, dark beige pearls

Add some colors, shapes and movements to your Mother's Day too. Thank you for stopping by. May God bless you abundantly.

Safari

Two of my favorite places here in America are Cades Cove (Smoky Mountains, TN) and Circle B Bar Reserve (Lakeland, FL). The reason why I like these two places so much is the wild life present there. If I could, I would visit North Africa  just to see lions, tigers, giraffes and other animals running free. Or just to watch them in a tender moment with their babies. Can you imagine how amazing it would be to watch a ferocious animal like a lioness as a caring mother nurturing her cub? Or a tall animal like the giraffe feeding her youngster? While some of us can only imagine or see that in a Zoo - which is definitely not the same - we can get inspired by God's wonderful creation and create something ourselves. So here is the card I made with my dream of Africa in mind.

 Card Recipe
Paper: light green, brown and cream cardstock (Paper Studio)
Tools: cutting/embossing machine, scallop and oval dies,  and embossing folder (Sizzix), border punch (Fiskars)
Embellishments: giraffe, letters and dots stickers, plaid ribbon, brown pearls, clear gemstones.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. May the Lord bless you abundantly.

Elegance

When my Mother was young, she was very elegant. Always well dressed and wearing high heels. She can't wear high heels any longer, but she sure knows how to be elegant when she chooses too. I guess it's 'in her blood'. On May 11th she will turn 89, and I can hardly wait to spend  her birthday and Mothers Day with her. So I made this card inspired by the elegance of her youth, and the excitement of being with her this year. Enjoy!

Supplies Used:
Card stock: Dark red
Tools: Delicate punch
Accessories -  Blossoms Bunch,'Mother' and French border stickers

Thank you for stopping by, and many blessings to you and yours.

Compassion

20 years ago today my Dad went to be with Jesus. He left us, his 6 children, a legacy of faith and love for people. Compassion International, like my Dad, loves people, specially children. They want so break the cycle of poverty in families throughout the world with our help. Today is Compassion Sunday, which means, all over this blessed country called America, people will be sharing how to help children in poverty and reach them with the love of God. So, I'm not publishing one of my projects today because I want you to check Compassion website and think about sponsoring a child in the name of Jesus.

Thank you so much, and may our Lord Jesus bless you.
